My Friend Pat Passed away on June 20th

Well I went to see Pat about 5 days before she passed away from Cancer. god I hate that disease. Pat and I went back many years, we were good friends over the years but we also had a very strange relationship as well. We did have one thing that bonded us together always it was our beloved pets. We cried over our babies together and laughed over them. but the one thing we always had were them.

Pat loved animals more then any other person I know. I remember taking rides with her and she would actually stop on the side of the road if there was a turtle or something in the middle of it. she would practically kill herself getting to the poor creature but she always made sure she put it to the side of the road so no one could run over it. She was so kind that way. I will always remember when I moved in with Jack she was livid telling me I had made such a big mistake she thought for sure I had, well 14 years later we are still married and used to kid each other about if I had listened to her I would probably still be single.

July 23rd 2010 A new puppy for me

A new puppy for me, My casey has been gone since May 3rd and I miss him dearly, but I think Casey was responible for me finding this little muffin in Newport NH today. As sara and I were driving we saw this little pet store and I asked her if we could go in. She said sure we can, Well there were puppies for sale there I saw the sweetest little cockapoo there but she was a bit on the large size I was looking for a smaller dog, so I asked the lady there if she had any smaller dogs and she said yes in the back room she invited me in and there in this create was my sweetie girl the lady put her on the counter in front of me and there was a quick connection.

She is a chinese crested / Toy poodle mix she is 12 weeks old her birthday is 4/24/10 well after spending much time with her I decided to buy her, I called my husband at work in CT and said would it be ok if I brought home a puppy and he said yes. Sara and I had a few other things we had to do while we were in Newport so I paid for her and told the lady I would be back at 5:00 to pick her up.

Sara and I went on our way, and about 4:30 we went back to get her, we were concerned as we still had one stop to make and I was concerned about the 3 hour ride back to Essex. We took the puppy to her uncle's house who is not doing very well. but she seemed to cheer him up a bit. oh hell she cheered everyone up she met many of sara's relatives and she was such a good girl. finally we got on the road back to connecticut about 7:45 pm we stopped at a mac Donalds on the way home and she went potty and basically slept the whole three hours we were heading home. when we got back to sara's it was thundering and lighting and I put her i the car and drove another 15 minutes to saybrook again very good girl. then got her in the house and put her in a crate that jack set up for me and she went right to sleep. I was still wired for sound and couldn't sleep so I got her out of crate at 2:30 and layed on the couch with her and she went back to sleep and slept til 5:30 when I got up.

Thena our lab loves her she didn't have any problems with her from the beginning. which made me very happy. She is a great puppy very mellow seems to love everyone is very outgoing without being fresh she listens to what you have to say. she sure is a sweetie her name is going to be Summer and she is joined by her sister Thena a black lab and her daddy Jack. she seems to have made herself right at home.

May 20th 2010

Well I had to put my dear little dog Casey down on May 3rd 2010. It totally broke my heart to do it. but it was time. He fought a good fight. I miss him so much, Last week was kind of nice Jack and I went to see the play Anne get your gun at the goodspeed opera house. We went to an afternoon show and went for an early dinner afterwards.

We also went out Friday night of last week with my friend Lin and her husband, we went to the Saybrook Fish House in Rocky Hill. It was great just getting out with friends something we haven't done for a very long time. Jack and I celebrated our 14th Wedding anniversary on Tuesday. We didn't do anything special as the dinner out with friends on friday was covering the anniversary dinner.

Not much has been going on with me at this time but will write more later when there is more to write about.

It has been a very long time since I was here last

Well it is April of 2010,
Many things have been going on since I was here last, my dog Casey is still with me, however he has an inoperable tumor so his days are numbered. he is 16 now but all in all he is doing very well, he is playful and wants to eat constantly. so guess these are good signs. He was my mom's dog and I promised I would take care of him when she passed away and I am doing my best to keep that promise.

Artistically things have been on hold for a little bit, really can't get into it for some reason, but think now that it is spring maybe something will happen. I have been trying to get myself motivated to reinvent myself. It has been too long and I need to do something worth while in my life. They say it is never too late. I just wish one good thing would come along that I could really take a hold on and go with that would be beneficial for both myself and Sara. Something where we could enjoy doing it and make money at it as well.

Haven't been here for a while

Well it seems like forever since I was here last. The summer is going by quickly, my doctors appointments are starting to wind down finally, all seems to be ok with me. Both the dogs are sick with some kind of throwing up and diarear thing. but I think they are getting better with the medication the vet prescribed. I have been busy crocheting baby stuff for pregnant friends Melissa and Heather both due at the same time.

It has been bitchie hot and humid feel like I am going to explode with the heat. I hate it. with the dogs sick and cleaning up after them the past few days It has been making me crazy.

My dog casey had surgery last monday to have a mas cell tumor removed from his shoulder, he did really well with the surgery and the recovery until he came down with this thing that Thena got first. but all in all he is still doing very well. The dr thought for sure the dog would have been gone by now since when he diagnosed him back in September 08 he only gave him 6 months to live and it is now going on 11 months. He seems to be a hardy little fella. I hope he lasts another 11 months and even longer.
The dr is a great one but he was so impressed with showing me books that had statistics in it about the length of time dogs have from the time they are diagnosed and each one kept saying the longest was 7 months as the cancer is suposed to be in stage 3.

I finally said well dr he is still here and he needs this removed and we have to deal with that, is he strong enough for the surgery I don't need a run down of how long he has to live. so he is still here and doing well, eating and back to his normal routine. yahhh

well i guess that is enough for now can't think of much else to write at the moment
